Decorating your Christmas tree (and your entire home) is always the best part for me. Especially when you get to do it with some of your favorite people. Although there were plenty of times when "fights" needed to be broken up, arguments had to be settled with calming words and the lights had to be redone because there were holes missing, it was still the perfect way to start the month of December.
For our tree this year, we wanted to keep it as simple as possible, especially because we were fitting four different ideas into one. We stuck with the simple red and green ball ornaments and candy canes for a traditional look. We even did a net of lights instead of several strings.
Usually when I decorated the tree with my family or the past two years, the ornaments I used were ones I had gathered throughout the years. Or rather the ones my parents gathered. We had a tradition that every year, we buy one new ornament to put on the tree so the past two years I've bought ornaments that represent what the year has been (maybe I'll put that as a separate post). I haven't gotten around to doing that this year but hopefully before it gets too far into the month.
How did you decorate your tree this year?
Until next time,
"If it scares you, it might be a good thing..."
