As you can probably tell by the title... It's my birthday! *throws confetti and balloons in the air* I know 20 isn't a monumental year but I am pretty proud that I have made it another year. Plus that means only 364 days until Vegas for my 21st birthday with my best friends (Felicia and Kelsey).
Although today is my actual birthday, I was lucky enough to have a party planned for me this past Saturday by Felicia (seriously... You rock best friend). So I got to celebrate (and open gifts) a little bit early. We had a crazy time attempting yoga poses and playing Heads Up as well as staying up until 1ish, but it was definitely worth looking like a zombie the next day at work. Plus all the food was homemade by Felicia (except obviously the fruit and cake), so it was definitely special because she took the time to do all this.. Apparently this has been in the works for about a month! *cue shocked face*
My actual birthday (today) was a little more mellow. I, unfortunately, had class so I had to head to Spanish in the early afternoon to turn in a paper and sit an hour in a classroom before I could fully enjoy my day. The rest of my day consisted of me sitting at home and working on my final essays for my last classes. I know the fun life of a college student right? But I was able to get more done than I thought I would have been able to so yay for not having plans.
That night, I headed over to my dad's house and spent some time with them and my younger siblings just hanging out. My little brother gave me his Stitch doll to take home with me. (Cue the heartfelt 'awwwwwwww'). They got me some mini Bundt cakes that were so delicious, and then my dad reheated some quesadilla they had made the night before that rocked! I wish I had been there to take photos for a recipe post but hopefully I can recreate them soon. After his wife got home, we just watched TV to end the night while I attempted to get more homework done.
All in all, even though I didn't do anything extravagant to celebrate, it was still a nice way to ring in my 20th year. A huge thank you to everyone's wishes and gifts(:
