Starting this blog was a huge (semi) decision for me. I knew if I was gonna make something out of this, I would have to keep up with it and not slack. But to even begin, I would have to do research... which basically consisted of me going through some of my favorite blogs and reading about how they started and such.
For this post, I wanted to highlight my top 3 favorite blogs. The ones that have been an inspiration to me. Y'all have been introduced to all of them already in past posts, here and here. But I wanted to take it a step further and dedicate a post to them.
My first favorite: The A List by Alyssa Campanella. This blog was formally known as Jumpers and Jasmine but has recently gone through a face-lift and is even more swankier than last. The site just hit it's first birthday this past January and the writer behind it decided she has grown as well and wanted a more personal touch. (You can read about the reason more in one of her first posts on the site Welcome to The A List). Now about the writer, Alyssa Campanella is a former Miss USA (2011) and has had a career in modeling until she decided to commit to her blog full time. She has a stellar fashion sense, her travel logs make me green with envy, and I patiently await her beauty tips. Ms. Campanella was probably my biggest inspiration when it came to starting a blog. I knew it was going to be hard and tough but I also knew it would be worth it. Even now, she is still a huge inspiration to me and I have her site bookmarked on my computer.
Next one of my favorites would be Sprinkle of Glitter by Louise Pentland. Yes, she's a YouTuber and while I love (LOVE) her channel, I absolutely adore her blog maybe a tad bit more. Sometimes reading her posts is easier and quicker than watching her videos for me. While her blog ranges from everything from fashion to cooking to lifestyle and doesn't a clear niche, it is still really fun to read. She recently went on a trip to Disney (a.k.a. my heaven) and her blog posts (ft. her baby girl) are extremely cute and informative. She definitely treats her readers as a part of her family.
The last blogger I want to mention is Zoella by Zoe Sugg. (Also a YouTuber). While she hasn't posted anything recently, I've been going back and reading older posts because sometimes they are still relevant to today. She is a beauty guru (just like her best friend, Louise) and I definitely take her advice to mind regarding clothing, and beauty. Plus I have a kinship with her because she suffers from anxiety just like me. She has become a role model because of how far she as gotten even with that and she doesn't let that stop her from doing something she loves.
These 3 lovely ladies have become women I look up to and admire. They don't like being regarded to as heroes but they are most definitely something special to not only me but also a huge amount of others.
