Valentine's Day is just around the corner although you wouldn't be able to tell because as soon as Christmas had passed, stores around here were putting up their Valentine's Day decorations and products. For me, personally, I don't care for the holiday as much. (Sorry if I just burst your bubble). It shouldn’t be about telling or showing someone you care for them just one day out of the year, it should be any day. What I do care for however is being able to spoil friends and family year around (when the finances of my life allow it).
This past year has been a bit of rough patch for me so spoiling myself a little was a must, and luckily this gorgeous wood watch company came to my rescue. I had been looking for a nice watch for some time so I wasn’t always relying on my phone to know the time but it’s also always handy when I travel by plane and need to check the time. I had seen a lot of people I follow sporting these gorgeous watches and knew that JORD wooden watches are perfect because they follow closely to what I believe. It’s all about making that time count that you have with one another.
Trying to choose just one watch was a struggle but I finally landed on one that was very much me. I wanted one that was simple, but also in the chaos that is my life, also something soothing to look at when I am rushing between jobs and home life. But I am also not a very big girly girl so I needed one that wasn’t pink or flashy. What JORD really takes into account is the difference between men’s and women’s watches. They know that not all women want a bright, pink watch on their wrist, whereas men don’t always want bulky ones. They have the perfect mixture between men’s watch styles and women’s watch styles. With the dark sandalwood and the emerald face, this watch from the Frankie series was everything I wanted in a watch was made to be. The sandalwood material was something that really drew me in because of the earthy tones but also because for me, it reminded me of being outdoors. After reading more about the material, I grew to love it even more. The dark sandalwood in my watch actually came from East Africa (Mozambi) which means it’s a traveler just like me. While the band drew me in, the emerald face sold me. I have two favorite colors, blue and green, so I was immediately drawn to this emerald one. As mentioned above, I needed my watch to be soothing to look at and emerald had always been a color to calm me down, so I knew it was fate. The mixture between the dark sandalwood and the emerald makes me feel like I know what I am doing, which is ironic because the starting description of this specific watch is “Palette of Power.” I do feel more in charge and ready to tackle the world with this watch on my wrist. This Valentine's Day, I partnered with JORD to help someone spoil their special someone or themselves.
