Before continuing to read this post, I would like to place a fair warning. This place is weed related. No, none of it was used or smoked or whatever else you can do with weed but be warned, the food names and the decor was all related to that. If you couldn't tell from the name.
Onto the food bit!
This sandwich shop has been open for a few months. One day Felicia and I were driving past it and decided we wanted to try it but never actually got around to until the last day of finals. I was hesitant to try it because of the name and I knew what they stood for and such, but now I am really glad to have tried it. Sure the decor doesn't quite please my eyes, but the names are funny and the food is delicious.
Definitely a weird restaurant. You first sit down, take a look at the menu than go back to the counter and order your whatever your little heart desires, and turn right back around and sit and wait for your number to be called. While we waited, the waiter was sweet enough to bring us the daily soup and HOLY GUACAMOLE! That was some delicious soup! It was chicken and rice and it was the perfect opening to our lunch. The soup had a nice little spice to it and I am surprised Felicia and I both didn't down it right away.
Eventually our numbers got called, and I ordered the 3 Egg Omelet with onions, tomatoes, bell peppers and turkey while Felicia ordered a burrito called The Fatty. Yes, the omelet was good, but I probably would have been happier with a sandwich or burrito. While we waited for our food, we discussed plans for the following hours before I had to go take my last final and Felicia about died laughing at the Sweet Tea and Unsweet Tea containers.
All in all, a great restaurant with a staff with a sense of humor. Felicia already has plans to bring her mom again.
Until next time,
Now that classes are finally winding down and we are finishing up the last of our finals, and counting down the days left until we are officially in summer mode, I've gotten more chances to actually make breakfast for myself. And we all know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
This recipe isn't really a recipe, but this is literally my go-to item for an early meal. It's also really simple to make. You just need 4 ingredients and they are:
1 Avocado (cut in half)
First you're going to cut the avocado in half and then wrap one half in foil and pop it back into the fridge for leftovers. With the half you are going to use, take a knife and slice across it, and once that is done, you can take a big spoon and scoop out the slices easy-peasy. (Thanks to Ella Denton for teaching me how to do that)
Next, after buttering (lubricating) your pan with a small slice of butter, I take both my tortillas and heat them up a bit in the pan. After that, you take your two eggs and crack them chicken fetuses. I crack both of my eggs together because it's quicker to scramble them that way. You don't have to do that but you can.
Once scrambled, I divided the eggs between my two tortillas and spread some cheese on them. I didn't say how much because I am a huge fan of cheese on anything so I do how ever much I like.
With you cheese added, all you have left to do is placing your avocado slices on the pile, fold the tortillas like breakfast tacos and you are good to go!
Like I mentioned earlier... Quick and easy for a delicious breakfast.
Until next time my lovelies!
