Road-trip Necessities

This summer, after finalizing a lot of stuff with my jobs and parents, I realized I will be traveling via car quite a lot. Getting to camp is a 3 1/2 hour drive in itself, so a total of 7 hours (plus add in stops) twice will be spent on the road, plus there is no doubt that Felicia and I will probably plan a spontaneous trip to San Antonio or Austin as well in all this mess that we both have for summer. So I decided to share with y'all, my road-trip needs!
The first on top of my list is definitely either my iPod or my phone, loaded up with music. With the highways and back roads in Texas, especially in the Texas Hill Country, you lose service on everything, including the FM radio about an hour into the drive so it is key to have backup music ready. I have been blessed with people who burn CDs for me so I also have several of those I can pop in and jam to those if my phone or iPod dies.
My camera is next, and it's usually all three of them. My DSLR, my Polaroid and my vlogging camera. You never know when you'll be able to snap that in the moment photo that is a perfect reminder for the trip. I have learned to always have my camera with me so it has been a fun experience bringing it along everywhere.
So it doesn't matter if I am driving by myself or a passenger, I have to have my notebook and journal with me. I tend to get struck with ideas at random times or even sometimes just little quotes or sayings I could use in my manuscript or in a post. It is easy for me to write it down then and there instead of trying to remember what it was hours later.
My laptop and chargers comes next. I realize that this may seem weird to have on a roadtrip, especially when you can't get WiFi for the Internet but if by the odd chance I am not driving, I can work on editing videos or photos or working on my manuscript and some blog posts. I promise there is a method to my madness.
One of the last things I need to survive a long drive are my sunglasses. I spoke briefly about my pairs that I own here. My sunglasses are such a necessity because I have sensitive eyes so driving along Texas highways with the sun beating down definitely takes a toll on my eyes and if I don't have some form of barrier, I tend to get really bad headaches so a pair of sunglasses is always in my console.

My last item I tend to always bring with me is one of my (many) jackets. Anytime I go on a trip with someone, the air conditioner is always on and I get cold very easily so I have to have an easy accessible jacket to be able to throw on over my travel clothes.
Most people don't like road-trips, but I love them. There is just something just relaxing about driving through cities or little towns or even just the open road.
You tell me, if y'all go on road-trips, what is your go-to item?(:
    XOXO,
