Nevadian turned Texan

1/9/2017

As of December 27, 2016 I have both of my best friends in the same state as me! Kelsey lives in Nevada and we have been friends for almost 10 years, but we've only hung out in person twice prior to this visit. Once when we were 18 and I flew to Nevada to then drive to California with her, her sister and her mom to go to Disney and then this April for my 21st birthday when we both flew to Vegas (which you can read about here).
Now though, Kelsey has finally come to Texas for the first time EVER. So Felicia and I were both excited to show her our hometown and our great state.

Jumping for joy because Felicia and I were on our way to pick up Kelsey from the SA airport.

For Kelsey's first night in Texas, we decided to do dinner on the Riverwalk at an Irish Pub! (That later caused me to get sick?)

Deciding to wait until we get to Corpus to show Kelsey the Mexican food lifestyle, we opted for a cute little Pancake Haus called Magnolia's for a late brunch.

Before venturing into Six Flags, we made a quick pit stop to Starbucks to get me some Mint Majesty tea to help combat the headache and nausea that had not gone away from the night before. (p.s. This was my first ever iconic red Starbucks cup!)

I think I was the only one not ready for this photo! XD

We decided to rest our feet as we waited for Felicia to get back from saying goodbye to her sister and nieces and nephews.

I got to ring in the New Year with both of my best friends!

Our final leg of our #mfktakestexas trip was to Austin, TX. We were so excited to show Kelsey Austin because both Fe and I love that place.

We also took Kelsey to Gruene for a real quick pit stop because it was 10 minutes away from Fe's sister's house. (Plus-We can never say no to cute little towns)

Our day in Austin consisted of eating a whole lot, staying up until 3:30 a.m. and holing up in bookstores.
After almost two weeks in Texas, being filled up with Whataburger, VooDoo doughnuts, visiting small towns, iconic gas stations and getting tattoos, Kelsey finally headed back up to Nevada on January 8th. Despite having to share my bed and learning how to get ready in the dark, it was an adventure and a pleasure to have both of my best friends in Texas.
If the rest of my year is as full as the first two weeks were, I am so ready for 2017.
     Until next time lovelies,
p.s. All photos were taken by myself or Felicia DeMartino by our cell phones using our cameras or Snapchats. Potentially more photos will be added when Kelsey develops her film.
