For my second full day in Austin, we decided this was gonna be our hiking day, which meant having a well placed breakfast that would hold us all over until the late afternoon. Day 2 was definitely an out-of-body experience getting to be with family and just generally enjoying myself for once.
Our morning started with some very sugar-y donuts... Gordough's is probably one of my favorite food places in Austin, if not the favorite spot. The previous time I had visited Austin, we went to the trailer so our morning breakfast took us to the brick and mortar instead. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Especially with their mason jars for drinks!
The greenbelt will forever be my favorite hiking spot in Texas. And I got lucky with my cousins having it in their literal backyard. After hiking for a while, we decided to swim in the river. Let me tell you right now, it was freezing... But we still had a bunch of fun.
I finally got my In-N-Out fix while in Austin (probably killing all the calories I just burned while hiking) and got to snap a pic with this iconic mural in South Congress!
