This spring break (#sb2k16) I was extremely lucky to spend part of it in Austin, TX with family. With everything that has been going on in the beginning of the year, this family time was very much needed and I could never thank my cousins enough for opening their door to me and letting me become part of their household.
This post and the next two will be heavily filled with photos and little excerpts about my time in Austin.
My first breakfast with my cousins consisted of us going to a grocery store (not HEB) and picking up some delicious chocolate almond croissants and bagels with cream cheese and salmon. Ugh, be still my beating heart. Now I just want another one of these bagels<3
Okay, so I am not a huge history buff but I love museums! So I knew we had to visit the Bullocks Museum while I was here. Thankfully my cousin loves it just as much as me! We were also incredibly lucky to see the whole reason why the museum was built in the first place. The entire building was built to house the famous ship the La Belle when they had found it. Last time I was here they were still trying to excavate it from it's watery grave, but this time they actually had the hull there! I was definitely geeking out.
Dominoes is our family's game. Every holiday, after we have eaten, the dominoes are broken out and it is every Oelschlegel for themselves. I never quite got it but this break was spent learning the game and kicking my cousin's butt!
I hope you enjoyed seeing how I spent my first official day in Austin and I cannot wait to share with y'all day 2!
