If you have been keeping a steady eye on my posts the past couple of weeks, you may have realized that my heart (and head) was not in the right place and I was struggling horrendously.
If you haven't been with us that long, WELCOME but also know that I am human so I do struggle from time to time. I don't type those words out to try to get sympathy from people, I type them out because one of my goals when I started this blog 8 months ago was to be truthful and honest to whoever my readers were. I also hope that some of my realizations will help others realize their potential.
Anyway, with the struggles on my heart, I didn't give 100% to this blog and anyone can tell you that this and my photography are my babies. I slacked bad and then I left for camp and didn't have any posts ready. Thankfully Pinterest is amazing and there are others who have struggled with writers block.
Lisa Jacobs, author of Market Your Creativity, wrote a blog post last year about 27 different blog topics, and I liked a lot of them, but this one stuck out with me. Number 16: Your favorite positive affirmation or mantra.
My favorite mantra isn't actually a mantra at all. It's a bible verse.
"Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him."
I know that may seem weird but to me that is the one thing that can pull me out of my funk. It is a reminder that God gives me my trials because He knows I can withstand them. I have weathered storms and have come out with a rainbow shining behind me.
So here's a little reminder if you're struggling.
God hasn't brought you this far to abandon you.
Until next time lovelies,
"If it scares you, it might be a good thing..."
