My Campus VoxBox

This past 4 months, I've been apart of a site called Influenster. The site basically asks you questions and if they think you suit one of their campaigns, they'll email you and send you a box of fun stuff you test and review.
Recently I got an email from them informing me that I got selected for their Campus VoxBox. I was pretty excited (and still am to be honest!). And this past weekend, it arrived! Unfortunately, I had to leave for work right away but when I got home, you can bet your sweet biscuits that I drove to Felicia's house and set up my camera and filmed my unboxing video! You can see that lovely piece of work here.

Now that I've unboxed it, and have had the chance to try all the amazing goodies, I've decided to review the products (& candy) I received. And possibly where you can snatch up these lovelies as well.
Okay, so the first items that caught my attention was the 2 forms of candy they sent in the box. Sour Punch Straws and Sour Punchies. The reason they caught my attention was because they were pieces of candy! And everything else is beauty and skincare products. But I can see why they're in this voxbox. When I'm studying for finals or any kind of test in general, I always find myself trying not to fall asleep. With this candy, it is sour so it wakes you up a little. It is definitely perfect for a college student. Felicia and I actually opened the bag on screen and tasted it.
The next item is one I'm pretty excited to use. It is Jergen's Natural Glow Instant Sun Tanning Mousse. I am as pale as pale can be so this sunless tanner is perfect for me when I can't quite get to the pool or beach. (I also captured me using this for the first time in a video which I upload after my unboxing video... Or as an addition to that). It was really easy to use, but I would have liked to known that when I did it, that I didn't get all my legs or arms. When it dries, it dries very light so you don't know how it looks until the next day or a couple hours after. But it was an easy fix so the next morning, I just moussed up the spots I missed, and now I look semi-tan.
I love L'Oreal Pair hair products. They are just simply amazing, so when I found out the box came with a sample size of their Advanced Straight System shampoo, pre-conditioner and conditioner, I was beyond excited. Anything that will help keep my hair straight in the Texas humidity is a huge plus. And this product works beyond expectations. After two and a half days, my hair is still working it.
Now as girls know: washing your face before the day and after you take your make-up off is increasingly important so you don't get uncontrollable acne or blemishes. But as a teenager, who didn't really care for all that girly stuff, I didn't abide by that rule and just wiped my make-up off before. And now I am paying for it. I get bad breakouts on my chin, to the right side of my cheek a bit and on my forehead. I actually had a really good face mask that worked wonders but, sadly, that ran out and it is only available in stores and we don't have that particular store in Corpus. So I've been looking for something to use, and I have heard nothing but good things about St. Ives products. I am also, though, very hesitant to try new things, but after I tried their Blemish Control Apricot Scrub, I am leaning to trying more new stuff. The texture reminds me of a face mask, and it smells delicious. I am so excited to keep using it!
My last item in my VoxBox is something I am now using daily. It is the Softlips Cube. It comes in three different flavors and I got the mint, which is addicting. It is a lip balm that looks elegant with it's cube casing and it is not expensive either. You can pick it up at Target or any other local drug store.
Most of these products you can pick up at any local drug store or gas station (for the candy). All the products I received were amazing and I am so glad I got introduced to new brands that I never would have thought about trying.
    Until next time lovelies,
    XOXO
