As I type this, I am still struggling with the words. Not because it’s sad but because there is a joy in my heart. So much and I am having trouble putting it into words. A year ago, to this day, I decided “what the heck?!” and went live on a blog that I had been working on for a couple of days. Yes, you read that right, DAYS. Not months or weeks. Just a few hours during the day for my winter break.

With Christmas less than a week away, I am just barely wrapping up my shopping (which actually won't be done until Wednesday), but also taking the time to finally wrap said gifts. Working every day until Christmas has put me behind on everything Christmas-y (including this blog) but I am excited to share my wrapping ideas with y'all. Taking inspiration from Zoella's recent post (linked here) and just from Pinterest in general, I decided to try my hand at DIY wrapping. I have recently fallen in love with parcel paper and was very keen about me using it for gift wrapping.
My mother, however, was not very happy with me using it on our family's gifts because... well just because apparently. So I reigned myself in and just used it on Fe's gift and Mindy's. The reason I love parcel paper is because you can do so much with it. With Christmas looming in, I had to make due with what little I had, which was ribbon, some pieces of my Christmas tree and a tad bit of twine. Luckily, I am very happy with how they came out and I already have plans for Christmas 2016(: If you want some more inspiration, make sure y'all go check out my blogging buddy (but also my great friend/co-worker) because she just uploaded a post about the exact same thing here! Her blog is called Chloe (which is also her name) and her site is just about the cutest thing ever!
Okay, so the one thing I love about the holiday season, besides family obviously, are the smells! And that might sound weird to some people, but there are just so many enticing ones! You have candy cane and peppermint, baked goodies like cookies and gingerbread houses, and eggnog, just to name a few. And while some of my closest friends adore the smell of peppermint and gingerbread, I have to say that my absolute favorite smell this time of year is Pine
This year is actually my first Christmas with my blog so I am really excited to share one of my favorite holidays with y'all. I have noticed that most bloggers usually do a 'Blogmas' of sorts where they post every single day until Christmas, but honestly I would not be able to because I am working two jobs as well as trying to do finals the first two weeks of December so I decided that there won't be a post everyday but there will be a ton of them this month to make up for it.
To kick off the Christmas month (even though it is only the 2nd), I decided to do something Kelsey suggested because can you imagine if money was no issue and nothing was too big for a Christmas list? I did and I figured I would share with y'all what I would ask for.
It is that time of the semester that college students dread every time. It is a time when a good nights sleep becomes cat naps, meals become snacks and Red Bulls & Monsters become a staple. Thankfully, I hope with two and a half years under my belt for finals testing, I can offer at least a little bit of help for all of my fellow college students. So here are my tips and tricks for surviving finals week.
