Sunsets and sundresses

8/29/2017

When Izzy and I made plans to do our rebranding photoshoot, I knew I had one dress I needed to get pictures in. For my birthday back at the end of April, my mom gave me a gift card to my all-time favorite store, Ross. With that, I snagged quite a bit of items but one of my favorite things was a teal green dress that I fell in love with the moment I saw it on the rack.

Side-Note: I actually managed to not spend over the amount of the gift card so go me!

I actually have a white dress similar to this one (which you can see in this blog post from last year) and I was so excited to find another sundress of sorts in the same fashion.

The dress itself is a light material, with a slip underneath so no need of extra clothes, and it moves with you and with the wind. The fact that since this dress is a high collar dress yet I don’t feel choked when I wear it, is extremely important to me so I am very happy with the design of it.

Besides the material feeling light and oh-so-soft, the color itself was what drew me to the dress. My favorite color is blue and while this dress is definitely a more green-teal color than blue, it is still a gorgeous color. Plus, it pairs very well with either a pair of brown sandals or brown heels (as pictured).

This dress has become one of my essentials this summer and I am so excited that I was able to find a dress that I love so much. After doing some research on where to find this dress or one similar (because you know, Ross), I finally found the exact same dress at Dillard’s. The only con is that it is in a bright red, not a teal color. But it is still a great color.
Dress: As U Wish Illusion Lace Yoke Shift Dress
Shoes: Kelli Block Heel Sandal (similar)
