This past week and a half South Texas was blessed with beautiful weather. It went from being 50 degrees (which here in Texas is like living in Alaska) to it being 80 degrees! Some of you people who live further north of us might think that's incredibly hot but for us Texans it is the perfect weather. Where you can wear shorts and flip flops, and not sweat off your make-up. So in honor of our beautiful (but short lived) weather, this post is dedicated to my comfortable maxi dress that I was able to break out and wear. I found this dress at Ross (is that really a surprise?), and immediately fell in love with it once I tried it on. Before I continue though, let me point out that originally I disliked maxi dresses for so long. I thought there was no point to them but after I moved on up to college, my dislike slowly faded and now they are some of the first dressed I look for when I am shopping. This dress, by City Triangles, has spaghetti straps, which I like because then you're not trying to pull up your dress every 5 minutes, and what really sold me on this one was the fact that the tribal pattern skirt went all the way down but the black slip underneath didn't. So I still had that free roam for my legs. Like I said earlier, the patterned skirt goes all the way down but even when I am wearing flip flops, it is the perfect length to were I won't trip over my own skirt, so that's always a plus. Even when the weather decides to drop a little to a nice 69-70 degrees with a slight wind, I can still wear this dress because I can just throw a leather jacket over it and still be able to rock it. Having found this dress, my next task was to find a pair of shoes to show off with, and, of course, I didn't look any farther than my local Pay Less store because awesome shoes for low prices! I knew I wouldn't be disappointed, and I wasn't. I found these heeled booties by Fioni (again, it's like these shoes were made for me!), and once I tried them on and walked around the store in them, I knew I had to have them. Now that winter has come again to Texas, I have to patiently wait a couple more weeks to actually be able to wear my dresses and flip flops again. I am looking forward to what comes in the spring though so until then my lovelies! Stay warm, and don't forget to tell someone you love them!
