Blogtober: Punk Rock Princess (Week 3)

10/11/2016

     October being here means it is finally acceptable to wear all of your Halloween gear (aka Halloween socks, shirts and even those rad skeleton leggings). When I was shopping at Old Navy (because we all know that that is my weakness), I found my perfect October shirt, and I could not wait to share it with y'all!

     Alright my fellow ghouls, witches and warlocks. This right here has become one of my favorite outfits and I am kind of sad that I feel like I can only pull this off during October.
     I had to channel my inner punk rock princess but I am totally in love with the combat boots and stocking mix! They are my friend Izzy's but thankful we wear the same size shoe and the stockings were the right size.
     If you do not have any stockings, I highly recommend them. One: They're comfortable-I literally wore these for the rest of the day because of how comfortable they were, and Two: they are so versatile, and I am all about versatility. In the winter, rock them with a pair of thigh-high boots, or just wear them when your house becomes a tad too chilly. And in the summer/spring, channel your inner school girl and wear them with Mary-Jane's.
    As for the shorts, I definitely had to get use to their shortness but after a while, I fell in love with them. The black tied in with the October/Halloween feeling and the destroyed look tied in with the grungy look.
     This shirt was the piece I styled the entire look around. I found it for $13 at Old Navy and I waited to wear it until we did the shoot because I did not want to spoil it. But you can bet your pumpkins that I will be wearing this out all the frickin' time now!
     The plaid was a suggestion from Kaci to add in some color and complete the look. And I completely agree with her. Everything pulled together nicely, even with the mosquitoes and ants attacking us.
     I have said this multiple times for this post, but I am seriously loving this look! Who knows, I might even try to incorporate some of these pieces into my everyday look(;
     Until next time,
